Each year that passes, I realize more and more how lucky I have been to be shown and taught what unconditional love is my entire life. Thank you for creating my definition and foundation of love, mom. My biggest supporter, advocate, and believer. I wouldn’t be who I am without you. And now all of those qualities flow from me, right down to Leo, bringing it full circle 🤍. ⁣

This day 2 years ago I was in this dream-like state I call the in between - I had been in labor for 30+ hours, not knowing there would be another day until Leo was finally in my arms. It was a blurry, exhausting yet peaceful place. ⁣⁣

I look back with so much awe and appreciation at what my body, mind and spirit have been capable of and how they have continued to carry me through. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And now, almost 730 days later, I cannot believe I am about to have a TWO YEAR OLD. My highest honor, the greatest teacher. ⁣

One year ago today you came in to our world and our lives were forever changed. You are the happiest little bundle of love and have such a big personality already. It has been an honor to watch you grow and learn new things every day. You are walking (!!!) and you have so much to say already. This day always brings up so many emotions, but this year especially. On this day 3 years ago, I reclaimed my life thanks to @drlujeanfeng . I took the biggest leap of faith & decided to remove my breast implants (Mentor, textured silicone, gummy bear, no ruptures) that had slowly but surely been poisoning me. In those 3 years, so much has happened in my life.⁣
⁣
The first year, I focused on intense healing w/ a functional medicine doctor. I successfully reversed my autoimmune conditions (w/o any rx). I corrected major hormonal imbalances. I detoxed all of the nasty chemicals + metals that had leeched out from my implants over the course of nearly 9 years. I expelled so many parasites out of my body w/ various cleanses. I had IV after IV to replenish depleted nutrients, vitamins & minerals. I got to know my new body. Then I traveled to the FDA w/ an incredible group of women to demand accountability, accurate adverse event reporting, & most importantly, informed consent. I learned about loopholes medical device manufacturers use to have products approved by the FDA - which is exactly what happened w/ the implants I had (that are still on the market). I learned how to forgive myself for making a decision w/o knowing the full risks.⁣

Right before hitting my second year post explant, I unexpectedly became the primary caregiver for my father who suffered a massive stroke & TBI. Stepping in to this role is something I know I would not have been able to do before explanting. Despite the immense stress, I still saw lingering symptoms from BII resolve.⁣
⁣
This year, my third year, I became a mom to the most perfect baby I have always dreamed about. For a long time I did not know if it was possible after everything my body had been through, specifically my endocrine system. I am so thankful to be here & in this new season of my life. Knowing I have taken the steps to be the best mom, wife, daughter & friend that I can be. ⁣

Motherhood is no walk in the park, nor is being a caregiver. I could not imagine having the capacity to do either w/ how I felt w/ my implants. 3 years post explant & I have absolutely zero regrets of the decision that I made on 06/22/2018. Zero.

We got to introduce our little guy to Titans football today!!! A moment I have truly waited my entire life for. 😭💙🏈 It was an authentic experience filled with unpredictable Tennessee weather, anxiety, breathing exercises and lots of first down arm pumps. New features this 2020 season: face masks, bottled water and zip tied seats. WHAT 👏🏼 A 👏🏼 GAME!! 5-0 #TITANUP #BabysFirstTitansGame

Still on cloud nine from our beautiful baby shower last weekend. It was an incredible celebration with some of our closest friends by our side. We are walking in to this next chapter of our lives feeling so much love and support. Not only have we felt so much love ourselves, but to know that our precious baby boy is already so loved brings tears to my eyes.
